Gallery Chart Viewer

The Gallery Chart Viewer allows users to progress through a view of 10 chart to a page, generated from a Portfolio, Sector, Watchlist or Market Scan. Viewing the charts ten at a time improves the efficiency of the research process since the user is able to quickly scan multiple charts in search of good pattern set ups.

The Gallery Chart Viewer tool can be accessed from the Tools menu pull down found on the Stockscores toolbar. Use of this tool is free, but it requires that you register as a free member of Stockscores, and then sign in to the site. You can not use the Gallery Chart Viewer if you have not signed in. To sign in to Stockscores, go to the top right hand corner of the Stockscores page and enter your Username and Password. Use of the Gallery Chart Viewer only requires the Free membership level, but you do have to register. If you have not already registered, you can do so by going to the Products pull down menu on the Toolbar, and selecting Site Membership. After signing in, you can access the Watchlists or Portfolios that you have saved in the past, and if you are an Advanced or higher member, you can also access the Sector Watch charts. Advanced or higher members can also view Market Scan results using the Gallery Chart Viewer.

Viewing Stocks in the Gallery Viewer

Select a group of stocks to view from one of the pull down menus on the Gallery View main page. This will start the viewing of the stocks that compose that group. You can also view stocks in the Gallery Viewer from a Market Scan results table.

Navigating the Gallery View

At the top of the Gallery View are the navigation buttons. Use Next to advance to the next page of charts, Previous to go back a page, Start to go to the first page and End to go to the last page. You can also select what page of charts to access directly from the Page pull down menu located at the top right of the Gallery View.

Sorting the Gallery View Results

You can sort the viewing order of stocks in the Gallery View using the Sort By pull down menu at the top right of the Gallery View page.

Adding Stocks to a Watchlist or Portfolio from the Gallery View

When viewing charts in the Gallery View, it is possible to add them to a Watchlist or Portfolio by clicking on the appropriate link in the date table beside the chart. This will bring up a pop up window allowing you to make the addition. For more information on this, see the Watchlist or Portfolio Creator sections in this User Guide.

Printing a Chart from the Gallery View

If you want to print one of the charts, click on the Print Chart link found below the chart. This will bring up a larger version of the chart in a separate window that can then be printed using the Print command from your Internet browser.

If you see a chart that has potential, but is not quite there yet, put it in to a Watchlist from the Gallery View so that you can continue to monitor it.
Set your default chart setting (from the Quick Report) to six months so that the charts that appear in the Gallery View are also six months. If the chart looks good on that time frame, use the chart time period links at the top of the chart to shorten or lengthen the time frame of the chart.
If you want to see a chart in greater detail, click on the Switch to Large Charts link found at the bottom of the chart to increase the size of the chart.
